Manchester City took a giant leap towards the Premier League title with a 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, as Erling Haaland scored twice to send the visitors back to the top of the table.
Haaland opened the scoring in the 15th minute, tapping home from close range after a cross from Riyad Mahrez. The Norwegian striker doubled his tally in the 33rd minute with a stunning strike from the edge of the area.
Tottenham had their chances to get back into the game, but they were unable to take their opportunities. Son Heung-min had a great chance to equalize in the second half, but his shot was saved by Ederson.
The defeat leaves Tottenham in fifth place in the Premier League table, four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal. Manchester City are now three points clear of the Gunners at the top of the table.
